Executive Coaching for Women, Inc. (ECW) was founded in response to the growing needs of women business owners and senior level professionals. As women have gained high-level managerial experience, more and more often they realize the traditional path of success offered by corporate America is inappropriate for their life styles and ambitions. Yet, they remain forever on the cutting edge of professional women's progress, often with a sense of having to go it alone.

Building on her own experience of personal and professional transition, Jean Stafford founded Executive Coaching for Women, Inc. in 1997. Since then her work has been featured in The Washington Post, The Boston Globe, Lifetime Online, DrKoop.com, Women.com, Working Woman magazine, and other prominent publications. She has appeared as an on-line career advisor for AOL and Washingtonpost.com. Jean has coached hundreds of women whose work ranges from entrepreneur to Fortune 500 executive. An internationally recognized expert, she is a frequent speaker on the subject of women's professional leadership potential and was most recently featured at the IBM Women's Leadership Conference.
